The challenge was to balance rich, immersive media with high-performance development while ensuring the “ethereal Greek summer” aesthetic remained intact across all devices.
100% Bespoke Architecture
Unlike generic luxury templates, SilkenTile is a fully custom project from the ground up. We engineered a proprietary WordPress theme coupled with custom-designed Gutenberg blocks. By manually designing and developing each block specifically for this project, we bypassed the bloat of third-party builders. This “lean-code” philosophy allows the site to remain incredibly lightweight while offering the client total editorial freedom within the WordPress environment.
Seamless Continuity via Ajax Transitions
To mirror the effortless flow of a high-end event, we implemented sophisticated Ajax navigation. Rather than harsh page refreshes that break the user’s immersion, content transitions are fluid and cinematic. This technology allows the site to fetch new data in the background, maintaining the design’s “state” and ensuring the musicality and visual rhythm of the experience remain uninterrupted as the user explores different destinations and stories.
